Default Carb blockers help BIG TIME , tried them.

Hi Folks,

I have tried the carb blockers to see their impact on leaving
the state of Ketosis. While I was in induction and Ketosis level
was moderate, I took a carb blocker pill (made with
natural Kidney bean extract) and I ate a typical lebanese meal made
of the following:

1- Salad with cucumbers, tomatos, olive oil, garlic, and lettice
2- Nice amount of Basmati rice: About 15 table spoons.
3- BBQ chicken marinated with garlic and olive oil
4- 3 spoons of Garbanzo beans dip : made with Tahini sauce.

For dinner, I repeated this meal with a pill as well and had
about 25 raw almonds (estimate 12g carbs) plus 1 low
sugar cookie (30 g carbs).

I was just testing, don't think am a pig

The amount of carbs would have thrown me out of Ketosis for 4 days
especially with 2 consecutive meals. Fair enough, a few hours later I
tested negative for ketosis. Bad news indeed.

Good news: 15 hours after the dinner, kaboom, I am back to
moderate level.

This proved that white kidney extract does prohibit the absorbtion
of lots of the carbs we intake. They do not block sugar by the way.

You cannot take carb blockers as a way of life obviously; however,
they do work for the occasional dinner you want to eat. So you
can cheat a meal one day, and the next day you are back to your
low-carbing routine.

I read that they do work occasionally, but if you take them daily, your
body will build up a resistance and each day their ability to block
starch still diminish. So maybe once a week, you can screw up on starch
(though not sugar, as you said).

The telltale sign of them actually working would be a lot of gas,
much like that produced by difficult to digest carbs in beans.
When you eat enough carb to refill glycogen, the body starts
flushing all the ketones to urine, giving false positive readings.
Did you gain water weight?

How did they effect your stomach? Bloating? Pain? I've heard that they
(the tablets) can make one gassy, and uncomfortable. I've had a bottle
of them sitting on my desk for a while now, and haven't tried them,
because there's never a convenient time to feel lousy.

I did NOT experience any uncomfortable feelings. ZERO.

I found them very helpful because I was invited to dinner where
I can never resist this lady cheff's cooking. So, you can still
enjoy a meal with their help.

Someone asked if I gained water weight. I did not; I use
the suana alot. That could reverse the water retention. And no
it was not a false alarm Ketosis reading because I remained
in moderate level there after. I still am today and doing
great, dropping about 1 lb per day.

God bless whoever worked on developing this protein diet.
It's giving me my life back.

It wasn't a false reading because I remaind in Ketosis thereafter.
This morning, 3 days later, I dropped to "trace" level but I believe
it was due to working out for 2 hours at the gym. Extraneous workout makes
your
body consume Ketones for energy and so it doesn't spill much to urine.
4 hours later am back to moderate.

My advise is: Don't use them unless you are about to cheat and
you almost cannot resist a starchy meal. One cheat may cause you
to leave the routine for weeks. The carb blocker encouraged
me to continue. I call the bottle "My back up system"
