What else is fiber for?
You don't need fiber for consipation, as Sorbitol and the like will work for
most people if they eat enough. -- JC Lyle's New Ultimate Diet "1. eat less you fat **** 2. exercise more you fat ****" "Roger Zoul" wrote in message ... Fiber may not prevent cancer, but there are other factors involving colon health, such as diverticulosis....I had terrible bleeding in January 2002 while doing LC... bascially, I could not stay on plan due to constipation and bleeding. That result lead me be to get tested (colonoscopy) -- found i have diverticulosis....the doctor did nothing..no medicine or surgery....I just upped my fiber intake and have not had a single problem since then. No bleeded, hence no infection. Believe it: fiber is good for colon health, just as Luna said, and though it may not cure or prevent anything, there are definite benefits from consuming it. Also, fiber helps will fullness -- and it can be a big part of appetite suppression, too. http://www.hcf-nutrition.org/fiber/f...n_article.html Another thing: that's just one study...seldom is can the truth be known by the result of a single study.
