Default I'm thinking about joining weight watchers online....

Has anyone ever tried the online version? I need to lose a lot of
weight and was wondering how good it was.

I have never been on a diet before and have heard good things about
WW, but not interested in meetings due to heavy work schedule.

So, if anyone can advise me or give me tips on the online version, I
would very much appreciate it.

Thanks.

ps. Is it really almost $70 to join??????

The $70 is for the 3 month plan pluse there is a 29.95 signup fee. The
monthly charge is around $17. I've used the eTools and did not really care
for it. I found it too confusing and not always convenient to look up foods
or journal them online. I'd rather have paper tools.

They are offering free registration right now. It might be a good idea to go
to one meeting ($13) to get a copy of their getting started book". This
explains the 2 plan options and gives you a small point listing of common
foods. Once you have these materials (you can take in your purse to the
supermarket) using the online tools might be easier.

I really like it. I buy the monthly pass and it comes free w/ that. If you
happen to have a PDA you can up and down load your food tracker. I LOVE
that part. The monthly fee is $40 but that includes going to meetings as
well.

OK, I just found an online coupon for $58 for three months. I think
I'm going to give it a shot. The reason I can't do the meetings is
because of my weird work schedule.
Thanks a lot for the info!
