Default Day 10 of 100 Days to Thanksgiving

Day 10 of 100 Days to Thanksgiving
253/246/195

7 pounds are still gone. Got on my scale this morning and saw that the
balance indicator was substantially below the 247 mark. (Even if it had
been higher, I still would not have moved it higher, because I know
that if I keep on with my current diet and exercise program, I will
lose weight.)

I've been exercising daily by going up my nearby hill, more recently
half the time with a backpack on. The total walk is about 2 miles but
there is a gain of 600 feet or more.

No bread, no beer, daily weighing and graphing, brushing my teeth with
my clothes off (now THAT'S motivation!), low-calorie (about 1000 to
1200 calories before I subtract 300 calories for the hill exercise),
one meal a day (in keeping with the fascinating research and personal
habits of Mark Mattson, PhD and this sure reduces hunger and the
opportunities to overeat), putting numbers of days on diet and pounds
lost on my watchband, and I'm also quite aware that my tendency to
succumb to temptation has gone way, way, down. I also am quite adamant
about sticking to what works for me, and this approach works well to
help me lose weight, and I'm trying to ask myself how I feel in the
morning these days-- "GREAT!!!"

In '99, '00, and '01 I lost between 40 and 50 pounds on a 100 day diet
between Mid-August and the Day before Thanksgiving. It worked well then
and I think it will work well this year as well. (I maintained for
several years at about 225 but have slowly drifted up again and so have
to lose about 50 pounds or so.)

I hope everyone has a great day and great success ahead!

Yours truly,

Caleb

Well Hello, Caleb. Long time, no see.

I see you're still at the annual 100 day diet. How many years has this
been? When are you going to switch sides of the fence and join us who
have lost it once and work at maintaining it year round?

Beverly

What will happen if you don't lose 50 pounds by November? What do you
plan on doing at the end of this diet?

I hope everyone has a great day and great success ahead!

Thanks. Best of luck!

Slow and steady wins the race.

PS: If it really matters, there are 91 days remaining before
Thanksgiving (USA).

Ignore this. I meant to write "92, not 91" but now I see you count
down to the day before Thanksgiving. Best of luck!

He will disappear off the news group only to resurface again next year
having regained back the weight, plus some and do it all over again. He
does this every year, despite the fact that we all think his a nut case.

Oh god, look what the cat just puked up.

Lets see - where do we start. Do we go back and google Caleb over the past
7yrs of his 100 days of starvation to lose 50lbs, eating his mackeral, his
coffee and nondairy creamer and walking his little hill with his ankle
weights on only to regain the weight again once Thanksgiving comes around.

Caleb is a classic yo-yo dieter statistic. Always starting here in Mid
August in the 250lb range with the goal to reaching 200 (still considered
obese for his body size), only to leave a few weeks before Thanksgiving and
not reaching the goal, and returning the next August at the same weight with
the same goals. He bores us with his diatribe of posts that chronicle the
minute by minute play of his food (canned mackeral, coffee, non dairy
creamer) and walks up his little hill. He'll never learn, and he will
always remain obese. And to think, he's also a public official. People
actually vote for this guy.

I thought this group had gone to the dogs - this is just another downfall.

Caleb - why don't you go back to your little yahoo group you started a
couple years ago. This place was nice for a couple years when you didn't
overrun the group with your nonsense.

In the mean time - we could just google his posts from previous years and
repost them again - as I'm sure they'd be almost identical.
