Oh.My.God. In all God's honesty, Jenn, I would have guessed you to be
about 25 from that last photo! Suddenly my excuse of "aging knees"
(with regard to NOT running) doesn't hold up much! I'm 43 :-)

Tammy, reevaluating the running excuse....


Well, Tammy, I've taken up running over the past 9 months or so. I
started very gradually but can now do a couple of miles easily enough.
I'm 55, and don't have the greatest knees in the world either. But
they're doing fine :-).

Running isn't an age thing. There's a woman who competes locally in the 70+
age group - one of the few I can actually beat, but let's not go there
Running takes quite a toll on most bodies, especially when a person doesn't
do much else like strength training to build the leg muscles - especially
quads. If your knees hurt, stick to cycling - it beats being crippled later
on in life. Trust me, the minute my knees start up, I'm hanging up the
running shoes.
