Weekend Pig-Out
Hi,
I work out 6 days per week, 1 1/2 hours cardio each day and 2 days of full body strength training, but I would like to eat what I want (bbq wings, fried chicken, hamburger) from Friday night to Sunday night, then from Monday morning to Friday afternoon, eat healthy(oatmeal, kidney beans, brown rice, fruits and veggies), will that harm me and possibly make me gain weight. I want to pig out on the weekends but I don't want to raise my cholesterol and gain weight. I figured I would get advice before I actually try it. Thanks, CB |

I am a thin person looking to stay healthy. My weekend pig out would be Friday dinner, Saturday dinner, Sunday breakfast, and Sunday dinner, meaning, I would eat what I want at these meals/times. The rest of the week would be high fiber, low fat, low cholesterol foods. |

The body regulates calorie intake, so IMHO the result of alternating high
calorie days with low calorie days should be the same as eating about the same thing every day. In either case, in this society, odds are, you will gain some weight. I'm a low carber, so I would eliminate the hamburger buns, brown rice, oatmeal, and beans. Unless you are force-feeding yourself when you no longer feel hungry, I would not worry about the rest of it. wrote in message oups.com... Two or three meals per week (preferably out of the house) where you are less concerned with healthy eating is reasonable, but 48 hours per week seems excessive. -- Matthew Slow and steady wins the race. |
