Sunbeam Health-O-Meter Digital Lithium Scale???????

Hi all,

I'm looking to buy a digital bathroom scale & I just noticed that I have
enough "HBC rewards", it's from The Hudson Bay Company you get points for
everything you buy and then in their yearly cataloge you can use your points
to buy stuff. Here's the info on the scale they have:

Sunbeam Health-O-Meter Digital Lithium Scale
Scale measures in 0.2 kg (0.5 lb) weight increments
displayed on a 2 cm LCD
Long life lithium battery never needs replacing.
10 year limited warranty.

The only thing I don't understnad is the "weight increments" 0.2 kg (0.5
lb).

At my last WW's weigh in I weighed 157.4

If I buy this Sunbeam scale would it be the same weight increments as the
WW's sale? Or different, instead of 157.4 what would I weigh if I use this
scale?

I also found some VERY expensive scales and their weight increments we
Weight Increments: 0.2 lb (0.1 kg)
weight increments: 0.1lb / 0.1kg

So what I am asking is should I get the Sunbeam Health-O-Meter Digital
Lithium Scale? Will it measure weight the same as the WW's scale?

It measures in 0.5 lb increments wich means it is different than the WW
scale. You will see measurements of 157.0, 157.5 or 158 none in between.
That is how my scale works. I only use it as a refference anyway, to let
me know if I am going in the right direction. It is the WW one that really
counts.

0.5lbs is fine. We have two scales The one I usually use is measured
in 1lb increments and is accurate to "a bit". It usually gives the
same reading twice, but if I put it somewhere else on the floor it'll
read a bit different.
The other scale is in 2lb increments, but it's wood and glass and
looks lovely. I love mechanical things like scales and locks and
watches. That always shows the same reading, but strangely it reads
quite a bit higher, it's not calibrated properly. I only keep it 'cos
it looks so nice.

Even fairly expensive scales aren't very accurate, but they are good
enough to track weight. The scales at WW are calibrated often and work
on a different principle to household scales. They are probably quite
accurate, but very expensive.

WW scale uses 0.2 pound increments as opposed to that half pound (0.5)

But as others say, it is the relative value and is it pretty accurate
for in its measurements. Mine seems pretty accurate (tanita) and only
tracks at 0.5 like the one you are looking at. That's enough to keep
me honest.

That's a neat scale, but I wonder how big the display really is. I'm having
a hard time reading my large dial scale.

You must be better at saving your points than I am. I've got about 460 and
that won't get me anything. Sigh.
