Fat man walking
Sorry if this has already been mentioned, but I caught something a
couple of times on the radio here in the UK about the guy who is walking across America to lose weight. http://www.thefatmanwalking.com/ They were interviewing him and he sounded quite genuine. He said he felt the need to remove himself from his old environment in order to be able to make the necessary changes, and to try to overcome his depression. I wondered if he'd had much publicity in the US and what people think of him. janice |

Strange enough I have just been reading his journals today. It is
interesting to see how it has changed him. Not his weight loss but how he views his life. The media coverage has probably taken away from his journey a bit but you never know. I have heard about him quite a few times but just got around to checking out the site. It is inspirational just that he got up and did something about his life. D |

Fat man walking
It is strange the ways that lossing weight can change your life, and in
ways that you didn't expect. A few years ago a lost quite a bit of weight, nearly 10 stone in the end, and it changed me more mentally than physically. Not only did my confidence grow, but my attitude to life and people changed. Before I was extremely shy and didn't like change, now I go out of my way to try new things and I'm even running in a local election! Anyway, this guy is a real hero and I recommend to everyone to listen to what he has to say. DestinyintheDark wrote: Strange enough I have just been reading his journals today.
