My new Adventure
Hey guys,
Ok, this is a bit awkward, but I need your help. As many of you know, my MIL has fought and survived breast cancer not only once, but twice in her lifetime. She is a remarkable woman. a bit nutty, but remarkable to say the least And this past year a dear close friend and coworker of mine also survived a bought of breast cancer and chemo. It seems breast cancer is hitting close to home for everyone, which is why I felt I needed to help do something about it. I've signed up to walk the Tampa Bay 3 day. Thousands of people will be walking 60 miles in Florida in October over the course of 3 days. (yes, it is still HOT as heck in October in Florida). I'll be walking along with the best of them in my pink jersey. I've taken up the challenge to raise $2,220 to benefit the Susan G Komen foundation for the cure. I'm also using my training for this event to kick off my training for my next big endeavor, a 3 day Rim-to-Rim hike down and back up the Grand Canyon. I need your help. Every penny counts with this ambitions goal I've set. If you are interested in helping me out, please visit my personal profile page and donate. http://www.the3day.org/tampabay07/jford Thank you, Long time ASD'er ... LFM |
