Default Broccoli?

Hi! What is your favorite way of making broccoli? I'm actually starting to
like broccoli,,but getting tired of having it steamed.
I'm also trying to stay away from cheese or cheese sauces.
Any other ideas? Thanks.

I like to take fresh broccoli, peel off the thick skin from the stalks and
chop the tops and stems into manageable pieces, not too small. Then olive
oil & garlic in a big sauce pan - take out the browned garlic - and cook
down the broccoli. You can put a lid on, tilted kind of, ya know? Add salt &
pepper. Let it really cool dowm till it's all soft and yummy. then...OMG -
it's soooo delicious with some lemon squeezed on it.

I'm Italian - that's about as precise as I can get with a recipe - LOL! I
had cheese on brocoli once it was pretty nasty P~~~~~~~~

Slash it into bite sized pieces, peeling any tough skin on the stems.

Heat oil in a non-stick fry pan until it just begins to smoke, stir fry the
broccoli until it begins to char in spots.

Remove from heat, sprinkle to taste with with some of:
salt or soy or fish sauce
lemon or lime juice or your favorite flavor of vinegar
sesame or well flavored olive oil
fresh ground black pepper, powdered chipotle, cayenne, sriracha, hot sauce

Serve forth.

Rw, in salads.

I don't use any of the stems, just the crowns and often just the crunchy
little buds sliced off the tips of the crowns.

Sauteed in olive oil and butter, not the bulky stems, but the crowns
sliced into bite sized peces. Dill seasoning for variety.

Often I will throw in French Onion Dip into the pan in the last minute
or so of cooking, or any other tasty source of fat.

This should say "cook down" not "cool down" - oops (but it is good hot or
cold)
