Of course this might explain why certain suppliments are under attack.
Regardless of your opinion on ephedra and Meridia, both work through a
similar mechanism and have similar risks and side effects. However,
nobody spent gobs of money getting Meridia approved. The company wants
to recoup those costs without competition from something you can buy
for $20 a bottle. (or less)

What does the law have to do with weight loss?

The original question was does green tea have any effect of body
weight, not explain the Dietary Supplement Health and Education Act to
me.
