That's why us metalheads give the sign of the goat, it's anti-religion.

Uh-huh. That's really unique and individualistic.

that's country music's attitude in GENERAL imo -

think Johnny Cash, Merle Haggard, Martina McBride, etc.

Johnny Cash wore black, I like that, even if I don't like the music.

frankly, i frigging love country music. i like old skool hardcore

punk,
heavy metal, etc. too. but country rools.

i also like its politics - politically incorrect, not afraid to be
pro-religion and pro-God, pro-individuality, pro-family, and no

Well, I'm certainly not pro-religion, can't stand any religion, but I

I'm not sure if being pro-religion is being pro-individuality, though

i'm not saying it is.

i am saying country music, on the whole is pro-both of those things

Well, the Hell's Angels and then the metalheads did it. just because some

I'm talking '60s moreso than the '70's.

Demographics factor into that, too.

I spent many years sequestered in the Northeast woods. Those books

So, let me get this straight...we're NOT doing Toby Keith right?

Just a quick question...don't those metal T-shirts get hot in the summer? I
mean, you're kind of in an oven right? This stuff is just so damn
complicated! Where's my Sonny & Cher cassette...

yes, it does.

when everybody and their mother is doing something (and often with no

not in what i have seen you post. the most basic elements of conservatism
hark back (hark hark hark) to a hayekian/burkean philosophy.

most of what you have posted is NOT in line with that vision

lol...all I wear is sleeveless! My son accuses me of being a member of the
Village People, but I love wearing them. I just tell him he's a skater
punk, and that he knows nothing (we have a great relationship...he's a good
kid...and conservative). And once you get used to them, you hate sleeves.
Not to mention, my guns are looking pretty good these days. Went dancing
last Friday and met a gorgeous woman that asked if I had a girlfriend, then
gave me her number. Oh yeah! I didn't call her right away, so she emailed
me Monday (I gave her my card). So I called her last night. We're going
out Saturday for dinner. I'd of thought she was out of my league...she's
that nice. Must be the sleeveless shirt I wore Friday...

nevermind.

i don't think i'd ever wear one to a dance club, but i already think (imo)
that seattle people dress shabbily.

sleeveless t is fine for cruising around in nice weather, but not for
"nightlife" imo, unless that nightlife happens to be a speed metal concert
or something similarly grungy.

but that's me.

i feel underdressed if i am wearing something with short sleeves, if i am
"out" on the town

and anybody who wears shorts at night, "on the town" is rong (tm) imo

but maybe i'm too east coast or somethign

lmao, yeah, I wore it Friday night. I usually wear Dockers or wool trousers
and a polo or cotton long sleeve shirt. But Friday I wore a new Nike
sleeveless and Levis. What can I say. Which is one reason I was surprised
at her coming on to me. I didn't really expect it and was just out to have
some fun. I wasn't really trolling for chicks.

It's not so much anti-religion as it is anti-Christian, given that the
goat-as-a-symbol-for-Satan thang predates either the Hell's Angels or the
metalheads (or motorcycles or electric guitars, while I'm at it).

When the HAs first did it, were they really being anti-religion, or were
they being pro-religion but rooting for the other team? :P

You're right about the labels shifting. Your mantra is a succint view of
Classic Liberalism, which is better called {L/l}ibertarian these days, as
for the last few decades the "liberal" side of U.S. politics includes a
whole lot of socialist/communist/etc. thought.

Unfortunately, the holy rollers ask for money like the dirty hippies do. I

Can't argue with that.
