Sure they do. Even low carbing one still gets plenty of toxins in their
bodies. It builds up. If you don't "cleanse" every so often your body

will
simply go into dis-ease.

You really ought to check your dictionary before you go around correcting
people, especially when they are right:

No, sorry, you're wrong. The body cleans itself, through sweating, ****ing,
and pooping. If you can't sweat, ****, or poop, then you need to go to the
hospital and get "cleansed." Otherwise, your body will clean itself just
fine.

Not necessarily the method you described, but
drinking hot water yes, and/or with a dash of lemon as a bonus. I've heard
reasons behind this as being - it helps digestion and aids in dissolving
fat, or as you say, gives you a good cleanse.

I am all for blended medicine. We are learning more and more about alternative
treatments.Cayenne pepper, for example, contains capsaicin, which is believed
to assist digestion by stimulating the flow of both salvia and stomach
secretions.

But let's not lose track of basic anatomy and physiology.
NOTHING that can be taken by mouth, except perhaps a laxative, CLEANSES the
system. The system takes care of itself. Water does not flow through the
intestines; it's absorbed in the stomach. The intestines and colon do NOT
retain "toxins." The intestinal tract is swept clean with every bowel movement.
Water does NOT dissolve fat. The liver is the organ that metabolizes fat, and
while the liver (and every other organ) requires water to perform its
designated functions, it doesn't matter what kind of water you drink as long as
it's an adequate amount.Water doesn't flow through the liver; the water is
supplied in the blood supply.
Digestion and food utilization is a very complicated process.
I would imagine that it's the good amounts of water and the exercise that
benefit you and your friend more than how hot the water is or when the exercise
is taken.

Obviously....but did you notice both terms being used to explain why it
supposedly works? A surefire sign of a BS machine in overdrive, if you ask
me.

Could be... but it's just water (and lime + cayenne if one chooses).
East Indians have a lot of beauty secrets, and my friend says this is
one of them. She is not the type of person to spout "hooey". But, it

may
not work for everyone. That's why I suggested an experiment.

Okay, yesterday morning and this morning, I tried a Hot Water

Therapy
that my East Indian friend told me about. And last night, the whoosh
fairy took 3 lbs, breaking a week-long stall and putting me in the

It would be great if some of the posters here would give this

therapy
a
try with me, to see if it can be used as a stall-buster.

The purpose of the therapy is to cleanse your insides and drop a few
pounds. Here is what you do:

Every morning, for a week, drink 4-5 glasses of water *as hot as you

can
stand it* in as short a time as you can. Then, go for a 15-20 minute
power walk. Then continue with your breakfast and normal daily

routine.

You can add a squeeze of lime juice to the water if you like, and

you
can take some cayenne capsules for added burn. I took two yesterday,

but
skipped them today. I like the lime juice, though - it makes the hot
water much easier to drink.

What do you think?

I think it sounds like a bunch of hooey.

I would guess that it takes hot water because if you drank that much
cold water, you'd puke. Experiment - try body temperature water (98F)
instead of hot water, see if you get the same results.
