REC: Low Carb Tortilla Pizza
I have played around with this and have finally made a good thin
crust pizza: 1 low carb tortilla (for 1 serving I use a small La Tortilla factory garlic & herb) Low carb tomato sauce of your choosing Toppings of your choosing Olive Oil Spices of your choosing Preheat oven to 500 degrees (yes 500). Use one of those pizza pans that has the holes in it. Lightly brush olive oil over the pan in the area the tortilla will be placed. Spoon the sauce uniformally over the tortilla and top and spice however you like. When the oven's preheated, place the pan in and you should have a nice thin crust pizza in about 5 minutes --- keep an eye on it as the time will vary depending upon your oven and the size of the tortilla you use. I remove the pizza when the edges turn a dark golden brown. Then, I use the spatula thingy from the George Foreman grill to loosen it from the pan. Give it a shot! Andrea |
