Default The San Antonio Guy is Back!

Hello all,

For those that remember me, Jason from San Antonio/New Braunfels, I'm back.
I've since moved back home to Kansas, and am loving it. I've started to
goto school this semester, but then other pressures began to press and I
decided to skip school this semester as I was paying out of state tuition
and really focus on my health and my credit card debt.

As of tomorrow I will be back on Atkins. I just read a story of an 18 year
old who lost about 100 pounds in five months (if I read the dates and all
correctly) on some atkins site I was at
(http://atkins.com/Archive/2003/7/17-476793.html) and feel pretty dang
inspired right now, since this Christmas is my new goal. I blew my last
goal of losing like mad for my sister's wedding (this fat dude walked his
lard down the isle instead) but I've had about enough of being fat and with
my sister in a new house they bought I just have some other desires starting
to rev up and get me going. All in all, I feel that god is guiding me down
the path he has chosen for me, and every little thing that happens and what
not is just his way of keeping me on course.

I'm going to turn my garage into a gym, and it is so nice I am seriously
literally right across the street from my high school (used to be high
school like was a student there many many many years ago) track which is
open to the public whenever it is not in use for a school function. That is
so dang great! Going to start walking/biking/jump ropin'/and weight
training as I get the equipment (going to take my parents basic weight bench
that they don't use anymore so that's a start).

Anyway, I'm damn serious this time (hey, to give me a little credit I did
manage to stay on this thing for what was it six weeks + or - a few when I
was still in San Antonio, so my first goal is to top six weeks, and then to
get to Christmas and be a thin son of a... pink panther)...

Anyway, just thought I'd drop a line, cause in all honesty it was nice
having this group to talk to... and yes, I am over that depression S#H@T
that so blackened me on this group last time, so no more of that crap...
it's all good from here...

Ya'll take care,

Jason

Welcome back, Jason! You've got a great state of mind---I believe that's
the biggest part of the battle!

Good luck!

Well I got out there and walked a half a mile tonight on the track. Since I
don't have much for lunch tomorrow, I'll eat tomorrow at a local steak house
close to my work. Plain salad, oil and vinegar, and a plain steak I'll
take care of groceries tomorrow night. Just occurred to me that a big batch
of scrambled eggs, chopped sausage, chopped ham, etc. then divy up into a
bunch of small tupperware deals would make for a quick and easy breakfast...
hmm...

Anyways, it felt good to get out there again and exercise...

Till later,

Jason

Welcome, Jason ... though, as a lurker here, I am not one to be the welcomer
..... I empathize and can identify with your story about goals made and
deferred .... perhaps we can motivate one another, through this group, to
make and achieve manageable goals. Good luck!
