Default low carb teeth?

After 11 months of low carb, my dental appointment showed no new cavities.
It had been 1.5 years, since my previous exam. The dentist said he saw no
changes in the X-rays. This is an improvement for me. I had been having
several new cavities every year.

Wow, I didn't know adults could get cavities. I haven't had one since I
was a teenager which is about 25 years ago.

My dental exams improve with LC, too. Less sugar=less bacteria, I
guess. There's probably more to it than that but that seems the
simplest explanation to me!

Why wouldn't adults be able to get cavities? That's just... bizarre.

My sister is in her 20's, and at her last dental appointment she had 12
cavities.

I have only 3 flaws. My first flaw is thinking that I only have 3 flaws.

I can't think of anyone I know over the age of 25 that's gotten a cavity.
I just always assumed it was a young person's thing.

Oh no, you need to go to your dentist and look at the accounts. Once
I was waiting for my appointment at the waiting room, a guy in his
40s/50s came out of the dentist's room and was paying his bills at the
counter.

Nurse: So today we've 4 cavities filled, and it's $XXXX.

Patient: But I'd already paid for 5 yesterday.

Nurse: Oh yes, but they are different ones. The 5 you've paid for
yesterday was filled yesterday. You had a total of 9 cavities.

(And I was killing myself trying not to laugh.)
