we face fear many times in life. sometimes it's an inner voice,
warning us of danger.
fear is an emotion indispensable for survival.

I've been doing the Atkins now for four months and have lost 31lbs so far.
Well according to Dr Atkins book I haven't been doing it properly because I
haven't been exercising. Apart from a couple of feeble efforts on the
exercise bike. (I get really bored with that)

So this week I thought I'd better start an exercise programme of some
sort, to help me along, so decided to go swimming. I managed 12 lengths on
Tuesday and 20 on Thursday and felt fine when I doing that, didn't feel I'd
pushed myself too hard. My problem is later in the afternoon, both days I
felt dreadful! I've experienced this problem before...on low fat diets,
where I feel fine during the exercise, but later have to sleep the
afternoon. Its as if my body can only use so much energy and if I try to
use more, it has to slow down somewhere else to make up for it. The other
thing I find, is that instead of experiencing an endorphin high, I feel
really depressed.

Can you folks shed any light on what is happening, and why?

Typical menu

Breakfast
2 fried eggs fried in butter

Lunch
Tuna or cheese salad with a spoonful of mayo

Evening
Chicken breast or pork chop with either more salad or broccoli, cauliflower
or cabbage

Handful of almonds

couple of ounces of cheese to snack on

occasionally I have 2 or 3 ounces of strawberries sweetened with splenda and
with a couple ot tablespoons of double cream

2 cups of decaff coffee, black no sugar
2 litres of water
