Default How I lost 40 lbs within 8 weeks

Do you know a teenage that is struggling to lose weight - I do.
It’s amazing really when you look at how many children nowadays are
actually overweight. My daughter is a victim of the world we live in
today, the fast pace, the fast food restaurants and the internet!
Before you know it our teens are overweight and we just don’t even see
it coming! My daughter made up her mind that she was going to lose
weight and all she really had to do if put her mind to it – change
those habits of hers (and mine) and she’s lost 15 lbs in a month
already. I am so proud of her! She’s no longer wearing sweatshirts
to cover herself and just has that look of “I’m doing it” written all
over her face! What a wonderful day!

My dad was diagnosed with obesity and was just stunned by the news.
All he kept saying was “ how did this happen.” Really, he does know
how it happened, but he just can’t get his mind to accept it. He
did it to himself, my mom did it with her cooking and the restaurants
did it by making it so easy to order all that fatting stuff we just
“love”. Now he realizes that he has to do something about it or risk
health. I plan to help Dad in anyway I can. If that means I need to
eat the same as he does, I will! If it means, dieting and exercising
with him, I will. I love my dad and I never want to lose him.

Not too long ago I was a size 6, sometimes even a size 4. I know I
looked bad but I honestly didn’t care. I was depressed and I really
just didn’t have the appetite to eat. I had just lost my husband and
no one was going to tell me what to do or when to do it. Some people
eat when they are depressed, I do the opposite! I eat only enough to
get me by and some days I honestly don’t think I ate at all. But
that’s what depression does to you. You can go from one extreme to
the other. But now we fast forward to two years later and I am
overweight. I swear I put on twenty five pounds over night. Now I
have no choice but to either go on a diet or get depressed again!

My son has a girl in his class that is so is adorable but she is so
overweight for a child her age. She is only 8 years old and I swear
she is as big around as she is tall (she’s very short). I want to
so badly to have a chat with her mom but knowing how I would feel if
someone told me that my daughter was overweight, I won’t say a
word. But, for all you mom’s who may be reading this, please help
your children eat the right foods. Steer them into a much healthier
lifestyle. Don’t reward them with trips to McDonald’s and Burger
King. It will be so much harder on them when they older as the peer
pressure in high school is bad enough without having to deal with
being stared at or made fun of.

If you having a hard time losing weight, think about how many years
you may be taking off your life by not being healthier. My brother
was 50 years old, extremely overweight when he fell ill with a liver
disease. The liver disease was bad enough all on its own but being so
overweight put so much stress on his body that he just couldn’t
overcome it. He died because of it. I encourage those of you who
are reading this story to think about what you are doing to your body
and your life! If you are overweight, please do something about it
now! Your life depends on it..

My son and his wife just had a beautiful baby girl last week. Of
course, being the proud family we took all kinds of pictures and just
couldn’t wait to share them with everyone we knew. I downloaded the
new ones from my digital camera and sent them to my sister in an
email. She immediately wrote me back and said “OH MY GAWD” Am I
really that fat! I didn’t know how to respond so I made a joke and
hoped she wouldn’t answer me. But she did. Now that she had the
opportunity to see herself in a photo she was just floored by her
appearance. I hope that she will start dieting because I really want
to have her around for a very long time.
