Weight Loss Surgery. It may be gastric banding, it may be stomach
stapling, or a roux-N-Y procedure or any other one of a number of
surgically-enforced anorexia situations.

Oh, I see.

I had been afraid of surgery because I saw video of a woman who said she was
still hungry, even after the surgery.

Bariatric surgery will be malpractice, when they realize how easy Atkins can
be.

PS: I started low carb with my own guess at what low carb should be, and
shunned the idea of picking one of the various plans. As I learned and
progressed I found that Atkins had the answers that worked. Now, I actually
have two of his books and regard myself as one of the Atkins faithful. It
is kind of like a religion. (I should note that I violate Atkins by not
exercising.)

Weight Loss Surgery. It may be gastric banding, it may be stomach
stapling, or a roux-N-Y procedure or any other one of a number of

It's also an extreme *last resort* tactic. This is not cosmetic
surgery. It's not for people who "just need to lose a few pounds" or
improve their appearance.

Interestingly, it enforces a low-carb diet because the person 1) loses
their ability to tolerate sugars (it results in something called
"dumping"); 2) there's less space for all the food, so the person
starts focusing on the high-nutrient foods (proteins, vegetables). The
changed gastric architecture helps facilitate changed eating behavior.

My mom's best friend had weight loss surgery recently. She was doing
very badly before. She was in the "morbidly obese" category. This was
a lifesaving, last resort procedure, for her. She was heavy to the
point of being incapacitated. She was barely able to move, and only
getting bigger every year. She had also become diabetic in addition to
having any number of other problems including arthritis and
fibromyalgia.

She looks and feels great now. She has a new lease on life. She used
to be an angry, negative and bitter person, and interestingly, that's
cleared up too.

Could you provide some details ? as it is, you are only spreading
misinformation about a perfectly valid solution to force fat people into
slimming down.
