thanks guys...I did a search on this site and also found some wonderful
ideas! I'm running to the store later and will get a few things.
I like the fruit juice idea and maybe making my own flavored vinegars
and such.
Thanks again!

Flavored vinegars are great to make your own. I use a tsp of olive oil
to get one of my "good fat" requirements most days. Sometimes I use
Newman's Own Light Italian. It's 2 pts. per serving and has no sugar in
it.

Yesterday I saw a coupon in the paper for Wishbone salad spritzers. I do
not know the calories but it seems like a good way to get flavor without a
lot of excess.

You must eat larger salads than I do I hate iceberg lettuce and DH
doesn't like the darker ones like romaine (or spinach which isn't lettuce
but I would use in *my* salad) so I do a combination of both with mostly
tomatoes and peppers. I make up for it by eating a lot of vegetables as
sides.

We have been doing the bag salad thing for the last couple of months.

Once or twice a week I will also chop up some celery and green pepper and
put that in a little tupperwear type container. Also use these little
containers for chick peas, kidney beans and peas. It's like a mini salad
bar in the fridge.

I found a nice Pomegrante-Blueberry vinaigrette dressing in the
produce section of the market that is just 20 calories-no fat for 2
tbsp. . I really like it a lot.

I was going to try these, too...I had the same thought - one "spritz" is
supposed to be only one calorie. I'm going to look for them this week
when I do my weekly grocery shopping...
