Default visualization technique (not for the squeamish)

Someone from a different group said she did this yesterday to resist the
temptation of eating something from the office break room that a coworker
brought in. She imagined that the baked goods were made by a sweaty, hairy,
dirty baker who probably even spit in the food. While amazingly gross to
think about, it definitely turns off the appetite.

Last night my dinner was less than satisfactory and the bar where I referee
volleyball games has excellent food (the steak quesadillas are to die for!).
I was tempted but used this technique to stop even thinking that it was
tempting. It worked for me even though I go into the kitchen all the time
(to get my referee stuff) and I know the cooks.

It dawned on me that this is the reason DH and I never eat at KFC and never
did - the local one is dirty and there was something in the newpaper a long
time ago about health code issues.

Not sure if this applies or not, but once I was told that if you want
to know what you are going to look like after you eat the food in the
place you are at. Look at the others that are eating the same thing.

Works for me...

Sometimes :-)

yes and if you want to know how clean it is, order your drinks, then go and
wash your hands, see how clean the rest room is, if they don't keep it
clean, knowing you will clean it, how clean is the kitchen you don't see, I
also check to make sure there is hot water and plenty of soap, Lee, the

And those clear plastic things on buffets that are just a little too high up
so that they are over most peoples faces are called "sneeze guards"
