You go girl! We'll get there, together.

Know what? We WILL get there! I was just thinking about this last night. I
mean, I've been on countless diets, and never really and truly BELIEVED that
there was light at the end of the tunnel. Now I have no doubt that I'll get
there, and the light is shining BRIGHT! LOL

LCing since 12/01/03-

You look terrific!! I know how much weight you've lost from your signature
line, but can you tell me what size waist you had at start, and what you wear
now? I am impressed that the belly is gone!!
Looking good, JJ.

Thank you Connie. I don't miss that belly. Not one bit.

I'm not much for measurements but here is what I know. In the first picture
I am wearing either 44 or 46 pants, beyond that I don't know what my actual
waist measurement was (somewhere above my belt I suspect When I started
in September I was wearing a size 54 men's jacket, and dress shirts with an
18.5" neck and both of those were getting tight. In general I was wearing
XXL shirts, though shirt measurements such as this vary widely so it is hard
to judge by that.

In the last picture currently posted I was wearing size 34 pants.

I can now put on size 32 pants but can't really wear them yet, still a bit
tight in the rear. Another two weeks or so, I guess, before I can wear them
day to day. I now wear a 42 men's jacket, dress shirts with a 16.5" neck.
For casual wear I am now buying medium to large shirts which, again, varies
greatly by manufacturer and style.

Hehehe ..
Well JJ I think that's a great goal to be able to aim for. !!
Goals are so important.
My biggest downfall at the beginning of LC was to try and set my goal
too large though.. which ended up being overwhelming.
My goal now is to be where I was when I met hubby... only 10 lbs more
to go.

If I aimed to be 1/2 the gal I used to be I'd have to weigh 112lbs. I
just can't envision myself at that weight.
And 2/3's puts me 10 lbs over where I want to go.

What a creative way to think of the loss though.
Thanks for sharing

I had to chuckle at work this past week when one of my co-workers said to me
"I mean this in the most complementary way, but you are now 1/2 the man you

Well, this got me thinking. While there is no way I can end up at 1/2 of my
starting weight--nor would I want to--my goal of 185 is fairly close to
2/3's of my original weight.

So, for my own squirrelly reasons, I'm adjusting my goal weight down by 2
more pounds just so that, when I am done, I can say "I am 2/3's the man I
used to be."

Hey, everybody has to have a goal. You can safely assume that I have
greater goals than this, I just thought that this would be a fun way to
think about this.

Have a great weekend folks.
