Default Food & Work-out Log 8/20/07

Exercise:

9:30 Cardio Fuel Class- 1 hr
10:30 Sculpt Weight Training Class 1 hr

Food:


Breakfast:9:00 South Beach Diet bar. water cal 140

Lunch:12:00 a few bites of Lunchables pizza, salad bar
with balsamic vinigarette coke zero cal 400

Dinner: 6:30 tuna steak, steamed squash ice pop diet
coke cal 400

Total Cal: 940

This isn't really enough calories for one day. A single day like this
isn't going to hurt you, but part of counting calories should make
sure you eat enough, not just avoiding eating too much.

I actually didn't intend on eating so few calories, but when I sat
down to add it up, I was like, hmm, I had under 1,000 calories. But
someone on my other topic told me that 1,000 calories would be ideal
to lose weight, so if that's true, then I was only 60 below. Not sure
though.

I don't think 1000 calories a day is a realistic level for an active
person. When I was your weight and heading down for my final loss
into the 130s, I was averaging around 1300-1400 calories per day. And
if anything, at my age, I need fewer calories than you. 1000/day is
more in the crash diet category, and I think what you need is to
develop a sensisble and sustainable way of eating that you can follow
for the rest of your life.
