NYNY update - Joyce
My weaknesses are meat, potatoes, bread. Don't care much for sweets or
chocolate. When cooking something that I really like for myself really, I only buy one serving cause if there's more, I WANT it, and it calls to me until I give in. Needless to say, I try to stick with very simple dinners. I also can't buy Special K bars as I'll eat the whole package in one go. Tried getting them for the office, didn't work. Right now I've got two huge boxes of chocolates in the my closet for the kids for Christmas, doesn't bother me at all. However, I can't buy my herring until the day before as they will definitely not last, a jar can disappear in no time. This is an interesting thread, thanks Lee for suggesting it. Bring a cheesecake, chocolate chip cookies, brownies, stuff like that anywhere near me .. and forget it ... I'm toast. Nightly napping to avoid the evening snack, eh? From what you've said in other posts about competing for time on your new computer, I'd say those naps serve a dual purpose. LOL Really, my computer is used for the business and the kids are only allowed on it for sheer desperation - things they can't do on their own. This way, if anything should go wrong with it, there is no possibility of me getting angry at them. And if they each have schoolwork or whatever to be done, they aren't fighting where I have to listen to it. g The napping tends to be from either exhaustion (my late hour habit) or stress .. or a combo of both. I don't go on the computer in the early evening, hub likes me to keep him company. I get bored with the tv, it puts me to sleep. So about 3 or 4 hours on the couch and I'm up all night ... catch about 2 - 3 hours of sleep before I have to get up in the morning.
