pinkslips and cheesecake
Doesn't that just say it all? I got my "permanant vacation" slip on
Friday - after finally completing a long, hellish tax project. And although I'm not wallowing in self-pity, I did have a piece of cheesecake after dinner that night. And again Saturday, and Sunday, and....well at least the cheesecake is gone now! I ususally lose weight during stress - so for me the hardest thing to do right now is keep eating. I've sent out over 50 resumes just since Friday, and fortunately, my unenjoyment check will be enough for me to scrape by on while I'm searching for a new job. I really hate this... But there is a silver lining! My house is SPOTLESS. det |

I found a better job a couple of weeks later and I'm still at it and love it. Hopefully you'll have the same experience. Glad to hear the cheesecake is gone. If you need another house to work off the stress mine is availableg Beverly |

I am very sorry to hear about the lay-off. I am sure that you'll be able to
find another job w/ out a problem, as you are a very "determined" person. I would avoid dessert though, as you don't want your interview clothes getting tight. Best wishes... Try this as it isn't very fattening: 1 egg 3 oz. pressed cottage cheese 1/4 cup plain yogurt sweetener of choice 1/2 tsp vanilla Process until smooth with wand type hand blender in deep narrow container. Pour into ungreased onion soup dish. Sprinkle with cinnamon. bake at 350 for 30 minutes. Hello det,
I'm sorry to hear about the job loss. Hopefully things will turn around soon for you. I'm in the same boat, looking for work that is. Luckily I have a friend who's trying to get me on where he works. After being out of work for two and a half years I'm ready to get back. Take care, Paul "determined" wrote in message news:yujWb.269782$I06.2900839@attbi_s01... Doesn't that just say it all? I'm wallowing in pms pity right now with back cramps so bad that I can't run and can barely walk. Enough about me and back to you... It's great that you've already got resumes out there - were you expecting this? My cheesecake substitute is cottage cheese, in the blender for a quick pulse or two, then add some splenda and some berries (or some unsweetened cocoa powder). Take advantage of being able to exercise whenever the mood strikes instead of having to plan it around your schedule. Hope something comes up for you soon. Jenn |
