I'm afraid if I don't lose something next week, even a pound that will just
be the end of me!

Anyone have any constructive ideas?

A lot of women only see losses on the scale during the first half of their
menstrual cycle. Hormonal fluid retention masks it the rest of the time,
and most gain several pounds of fluid weight near the end of a cycle.
It will drop off, often suddenly, several pounds in one day.
