I am going to get fit before I hit 40 this year.

I'm about to turn 40 and I'm doing something drastic. I'm going to
embarrass myself into getting fit and lean for the

first time in my life.

I'm a REAL person without a personal trainer, personal chef and 50
nannies for my kids. NO PILLS, no tricks... just

me, the video, my computer and a 5 Month Countdown to my 40th Birthday
Deadline!

Good luck and good management, Natalie.
I waited until in my mid sixties to get it right but I did it and I
admire you for starting earlier. It will make a signiificant
difference in your outlook and energy level.

Best of luck to you. When my mum hit 40 she joined weight watchers and
lost 3 stone...she still watches what she eats and maintains a nice
healthy weight. If i ever hear the word 'points' again i'll go crazy!
But for her life really did begin at 40. Good luck!

Best of luck...it's never too late to start!

I wasn't terribly overweight when I turned 40, but I was a smoker and
sedentary. I decided I didn't like who I was, and decided to dedicate
myself to getting healthy.

Now, at 54, I'm considered a hard-core athlete by most people I meet. I
ride my bicycles about 5000 miles per year, run, enter races and triathlons,
backpack, etc.

One of the things that makes me a pretty good software developer is a
compulsive streak in my personality. But, with that, you have to be careful
about where your compulsions manifest themselves. I used to be compulsive
about unhealthy things, but now that I'm compulsive about healthy things, I
have much more energy and joy in my life.

Here's wishing you much success.
