Default Non-Dairy Reddi Whip question

I accidentily bought a can of non-dairy Reddi Whip today. Is that okay to
eat on LC? Or do they replace the dairy stuff with extra sugars or
something else that's not good?

Why don't you read the ingredients list on the can?

That's way too difficult. ;-) It's much easier to have us go to
http://www.reddi-wip.com/products/products.html and look it up.

Let's see, serving size, 2 tablespoons

calories 15
carbohydrates 1
fiber 0

oops! partially hydrogenated vegetable oil

It had sugar in it, and oils and crap.

That said, you can eat it -- although the food purists in the group
with scream foul -- if it fits into your daily carb count. You're
better off not, though. Cutting out all added refined sugar is the
best way to get that monkey off your back.

Me, I already have heavy cream on hand for use in my coffee so, on the
rare occasions I want whipped cream, I just ... whip cream. I admit
that it's less about the miniscule carb count in the whipped cream
than it is that a) I hardly ever eat whipped cream, and b) I see no
point in having both coffee cream and dessert cream when one food will
serve either function.

I have one of those ISI whippers. One big plus is that the cream lasts much
longer inside the whipper. I suppose this is because of the N2O. It also
stretches it compared to cream whipped by hand or mixer.

As others have said, you need to read the labels--on this and on
every other prepared food you buy. You'd be surprised what
manufacturers have sneaked unnecessary carbs into.
