Default 1 year of low-carbing

I started low-carbing in June of '03.

Here is my fitday chart:

http://www.triadnc.net/weight.jpg

I was put on this diet by my cardiologist since I had severe hypertension.
I now have blood pressure of 120/80 consistently.

I know there is good and bad about a low-carb diet but I can't argue with
the weight loss.

Looks great! Are you *just* counting carbs?

Doug,

Just carbs. I do count calories to some extent. I have probably averaged
between 1600 - 1800 calories over the course of a week. This has been more
a result of me counting carbs though. I have never said "I am not going to
order that because of calories."

Your progress is great. I hope I can do as well. I have been on South Beach
since Jan 7 04, I started at 353 and was down to 300 this morning. I have a
long way to go but am sure I will make it.
BTW I am 40years old 6ft tall and have a fairly muscular build.

Don,

I am right at 6 feet also, have musclar build, and big bones. The weight
charts say I should be at 170. That is rediculous. I could be at 2% body
fat and weigh 190.

You have made great progress already. Keep up the good work!
