Default Doing the happy dance!!!

Yesterday was kind of a down day for me. My dad is suffering from anemia
and the docs are stymied as to why. He's an insulin-dependent diabetic with
heart disease and not in good health. Then I found out that I didn't make
the first call of candidates for a job that I wanted (still trying to keep
positive, though.) And tomorrow is our last day of school, and I'm looking
at another 'unemployed' summer at least at the present (I'm an uncontracted
teacher, so NO pay during summer.)

But........ got up this morning and weighed myself and I'm at 229!!!!!! I'm
down 8 pounds so far for May! I've been using Fitday to track my cals and
carbs and I've been mainly watching cals. My carbs have been between 20-35
each day. I guess that it finally took raising my carbs (and cals) to get
the weight coming off.

Yay!
Congrats

I am upping my carbs today to about 50 since I am in the "maternal way" now.
I intend to get up to 120 in the next few weeks. I am going to go up slowly
so I don't pack on weight It's all going to come from natural foods...no
nasty sugar stuff for me

Hey, I'm doing the happy dance with you! Or maybe that should be 'for
you.' Anyway, I'm happy for you!

I'd probably be doing the happy dance for myself also if only I would
just dance more! I did get out for a .5 mi walk yesterday for the
first time and plan to continue, gradually adding more distance. I
guess I may have tendencies towards agoraphobia - I *so* hate leaving
the house! It's been hard for me to just get started, but hopefully it
will be easier to do now that I've done it once. crossing fingers

What calorie level have you been trying to maintain?

Keep dancin', Lady!

I've been following this formula: my weight multiplied by 8 (1832 cals.),
and I find that level is almost more than I can eat. I have been VERY
cautious about raising my carbs because I've been scared that the 'cravings'
will start.
