Week 56 report - huge stall, gained weight, getting depressedsigh
I suspect a troll here.
First of all, I'm not on Weight Watchers. I'm on a low-calorie diet similar to Weight Watchers. Second of all, I've lost over 82 pounds so far in 56 weeks on my diet. I would hardly call that "not working". Third of all, I disagree with you that it is possible for somebody at my weight (87.4 kg this morning) to safely lose 6-10 lb per week. That defies conservation of energy. doug On 7/2/06 4:13 PM, in article , "George" wrote: The human body is capable of safely losing 6-10 pounds per week. You are a living example of the fact that the WW program does not work. It trumpets tiny amounts of weight loss and encourages members to lust after "treats". Sad for members, great for WW's ability to retain paying members. Control what you eat and stay away from treats. Stay under 2,000 calories daily. Nature will lose the pounds for you. "Doug Lerner" wrote in message ... I gained 0.2 kg = 0.4 lb this week, bringing my weight back up to 87.8 kg = 193.2 lb. At this rate I will (literally) never get to goal... This is my 2nd gain in 4 weeks, and brings my weight 0.2 kg *higher* than it was when I got back to Japan a month ago. My rolling 4 week weight loss average has gone slightly *negative* now for the first time ever. This is by and far the largest stall ever for me and the first time I've ever gone month-to-month with an actual weight GAIN. I'm very frustrated. And I've continued to be so good too! I have never gone off my diet even once. And this past week my daily calories have been a very good 1528 calories/day average. I've been varying what I've been eating. And I've been very good with my daily exercise, taking "power walks" along the river ever day. I wonder what is going wrong.... The ONLY thing I've added to my diet lately that I hadn't previously been eating are these 15 calorie cups of "orange flavored crunchy ice" they sell in the convenience stores here. They have a valencia orange flavoring and are sweetened with aspartame and sucralose (and are very refreshing on hot days). I usually have 2 or 3 a day and faithfully record the 30-45 calories used. Can something like that adversely affect weight loss regardless of the very small number of calories involved? Anyway, looking on the bright side, I'm still down 82 lb so far... doug |

Suspect is not the word. You know he's a troll and that your success

"Doug Lerner" wrote in message ... I suspect a troll here. Confirmed. No need to suspect any longer. First of all, I'm not on Weight Watchers. I'm on a low-calorie diet similar to Weight Watchers. Silly things like facts and reality have no bearing on the ignorance of this troll. Having done an 800 cal/day diet for 10 months along with lots of exercise I can tell you that even at that level what the troll posts is strictly fantasy. -- the volleyballchick On 7/2/06 4:13 PM, in article , "George" wrote: The human body is capable of safely losing 6-10 pounds per week.
