so, what did you want to know about WW? You will find that this group,

will
discuss WW with you till the cows come home, but will not respond to
cross-posts at all. Which is why we tend to succeed there I think, we

stay
on topic. Now, since you are not trying to get us in a fight with the low
carb group, what was it you wanted to discuss ?

ROFL .. thanks..... i'll ask questions as they come up .. i'm happy
reading now I see heaps of non trolling posts. I love these discussions
about weight loss although I can't translate from pounds into kilos (

Discussions about food that we can eat is good to although i'm still working
through the weekly books (I bought the "at home" kit).

Any hints/helps would be good .. I need to stay focussed .. I have 23 kilos
or so to go!!! :S

Men usually lose faster than women do. I believe it is because they have
more muscle mass and a quicker metabolism.

Ak, and I can't translate from kilos into pounds either The major hint
that I have is just don't quit, no matter what happens !! Just get up and
start again if you have a problem. And hang out on this newsgroup a lot. I
can tell ya one thing, It Works.

Usually, any trolling that you see here is because someone
cross-posted from one of the more argumentative newsgroups. Most here
do not cross-post and we try to ignore the occasional troll that does
show. Sometimes temptation overcomes discretion.

that I understand ) I've spent the last day reading success stories ..
*sigh* .. my weight goes up and down although at the moment i'm 4.6kg down
from my starting weight. I stick religiously to the diet and have even
managed to get HWMBO onto it as well (3.6kg down). He's actually doing

much
better than I am although i'm not sure why....

There are 2.2 pounds to a kilo, so if you want to convert pounds to
kilos, times the number by .454, or to convert kilos to pounds, divide
it by .454. Easy :-)

Set yourself mini goals and reward yourself when you meet them. Find
lots of yummy low point meals and treats that you can keep around, and
don't treat it like a diet. You can eat anything you like, in
moderation, as long as you count the points.

It's the Temperature conversion that still confounds me. Even with
years in biology and chemistry where Celsius was the standard.

That could work. I have gone to Lake Louise to cross-country ski a
number of years. It takes a few days to get the idea of what is good
snow and what is not.
