and bush and his ilk continue using language that attempts to keep
americans frightened.
its disgusting!

I don't know what your problem is. Do you pay any attention to the
news? Did you see what Muslim radicals, linked to Al Qaeda, just did
in Russia in the past two weeks? They blew up two planes full of
people and killed 300 women and children in a school. Do you think
the Russian people should be frightened?

I don't think Americans need to go around constantly frightened, but
we do need to be aware that there are large, well organized groups in
the world that have the potential to destroy our way of life, unless
we and the rest of the world stop them, which is what President Bush
is trying to do. Instead, for some reason, you seem to think
President Bush is the enemy. Do you think constantly trying to demean
and weaken the commander in chief is going to make us safer? What
would have happened in WWII if people started playing Monday
quarterback and had started criticizing Roosevelt for every action he
took? He could have been declared incompetent for allowing Pearl
Harbor to happen, or for the enormous caualties on D-Day, but would
that have helped win WWII? Fortunately, many people then seemed to
have more common sense and patriotism than they do today.

Well said, Chet. We could be attacked again no matter WHO is our next
President. I have all confidence in our current commander in chief to
handle the situation with leadership and strength...and that is
because he is a man of character and knows who HIS "Commander in
Chief" is.

Just because a man says he is getting his direction from God doesn't mean he
actually is. Maybe he is just playing to a theme.

In fact the constant reminders we are being given that Bush is such a 'good'
Christian make me distrust him even more because it looks to me as if he is
misusing his faith. I feel in this case its being touted more as a political
point than a religious conviction.

I believe in God, I consider myself a Christian. I don't hide it but nor do I
announce it at every opportunity simply to reap benefits from it. I don't think
a person's faith should be used for the wrong purposes.

I think a Christian should get on with the business of living a Christian life
instead of saying they are a Christian to get ahead in life.

If you can't support your President of the United States, move to
another country.

See, that's not how it works. If you want a different president, work=20
for it. That's why we have the vote. That's why there are political=20
parties. That's why presidents have set terms.
