Chewing gum oops
I got a multi pack of chewing gum the other day, hoping that it would help
me to cut down on my snacking on free popcorn at my movie theater job, which really had more to do with boredom at work than actual hunger. I accidentally got the kind with sugar in it, and didn't realize until I'd opened the package. 2 grams per stick. I kept a pack for myself and gave the rest to my sister, but here's an interesting discovery: I can chew one stick of gum indefintely. Seriously. Like all day. I actually like it more once the flavor is almost gone. So the 2 grams of carbs doesn't bother me that much, since it is doing its job of keeping me away from the popcorn at work. Let's see, two grams added, but who knows how many subtracted . . . 4 or 5 cups total of popcorn a day that I no longer crave? Not bad. I'm still gonna get some sugar-free stuff though. -- -Michelle Levin (Luna) http://www.mindspring.com/~lunachick http://www.mindspring.com/~designbyluna |
