Well back home after a few rainy days !
I noticed a few of you talking about chocolate , just thought I would tell
you about the bar I have once in a while as "they don't come cheap".
They are called Ketogenics for low carb lifestyes , and are very very good
"1 net carb per bar" , I couldn't believe it being in a low carb store and
finding them, as the clerk told me we are going to see alot of companies
getting in on this low carb diet.
I went in for some cereal, I have not been shopping there for about 3

weeks

and the new products are awesome.
anyway just wondered if anywone had a comment about them , my favorite is
Dark Truffle, they are also recommended for people with diabetes. hugs
BettyLou

Thanks, BettyLou. I don't know much about mannitol and will have
to dredge up some information on it. Other than that, the
ingredients look okay to me.

Default chocolate bars -- 3g worth it?

Scharffen Berger has come out with a new 82% chocolate bar.

According to
http://www.scharffenberger.com/library/nutri_3oz.htm
the 82% bar has three less grams of carbs per serving (1/2 a 3 ounce
bar) than the 70% bittersweet bar. Is it really worth it to order the
82% bar over the 70% bittersweet bar? For the amount of times I eat
chocolate (about once every few weeks if not months), I can't see
worrying about 3 grams of carbs.

I'll DEFINITELY be on the lookout for that, Bob. BTW, one of my
favorite uses is grating it and using it in a hazelnut thingy.
That way, it is divided into at least four servings, which brings
th carb count down to less than 5 g.

I'm going this weekend to a local store that carries Scharffen Berger to
see if the store carries the 85% stuff. Last time I was there, they
didn't have any SB at all. You can order it online, but it's so hot out,
I think it'd melt.
