wrote in message ups.com... I saw a television programme last night that said that a typical calorie intake for Christmas day was 6000 calories! Cheers, Ross-c I did an example food plan after seeing a programme that said you would need to walk from London to Calais (about 70 miles) to work it off. And with kedgeree for breakfast with champagne, turkey dinner with all the trimmings, red wine, Christmas pudding, mince pie, mulled wine, choclates, nuts, satsumas, christmas cake, turkey sandwich and night cap I made it 5125 cals! Needless to say I shan't be eating that! Rachael 176/139/124 |

Well after a disappointing up of 1kg last week, it was a surprising down of 800g this week. Good grief. |

Low fat doesn't mean lower quality. That makes sense. Do you have guests who do eat fat? Do you give them fattier food options? i In the same way that I don't expect people to cater to my food choices, my friends don't expect DH and I to cater to theirs. At our parties, guests are welcome to bring whatever they wish and it is custom to bring *something* whenever you go to someone's house for a casual social gathering. Those who know DH and I well enough to be guests at our place know that we don't eat junk food and that it has to be "imported." It's the same with certain kinds of alcohol. I don't drink tequila these days so those who want margaritas need to BYOB. I have yet to have any complaints about the quality of the food I prepare for guests or for that matter what I bring to other gatherings. I've turned friends on to some fabulous lower fat dishes over the years. Jenn |
