my RR isn't carrying groups anymore and i am using GOOGLE GROUPS these
days!
YUCK!

this group seems to all be spam.
is that because i am going through GOOGLE?

No, it's mostly spam, and it's harder and harder to find posts of
substance and assistance.

I agree, though, that Google Groups is a horrendous was to try to access
newsgroups (with the exception of AS3, which continues to thrive). I
think it's the killer instinct over there grin

Anyway, I'm here, lurking, and there, lurking. Here only recently again,
though, as I am back in the battle of the bulge.

If you post more the signal to noise ratio will be greater and it won't seem
like is all spam (though there will still be a lot).

Due to large amounts of spam I have filtered out all posts made thru
Google Groups and the email addresses of Hotmail, Yahoo and Gmail. I
only see about 1 or 2 spam posts a month.

It is nice to see you here, Rosie. I use individual.net to read the
newsgroups. It is $8-15 per year, depending on the value of the dollar.
