WNM week 12 (final): down 0.6 to 196.6 Total=49.0

While I did not make my WNM or 50lb loss goal this week, I am okay with the
small loss this week. The home scale is reading 1.4 higher than WW so I did
not expect to have any loss at all this week. In fact, I walked in and told
the woman that it was not a good week. So imagine my surprise that I had
lost the .6 that I had gained last week. I am also pleased with this week's
result because TOM is due any day now and that typically plays havoc with
the scale.

SUB week 3: 4 consisting of 2 walks and 2 Curves Sessions.

Hope everyone has a good week. We head to mom's later this week. I am so
looking forward to the cooler tempatures there and my evening walks with DH.
This heat and humidity is driving me nuts. I hate being cooped up in the air
conditioned house like we have been for the last couple of weeks.

Being down when you expected UP is wonderful news. Maybe that journaling
exercise helped more than you realized? I, for one, am going to keep doing
it. It adds a level of accountability that I seem to need right now.

Removing yourself from the heat and humidity will be a great relief, even
though in another sense you are going from the frying pan to the fire. I'll
keep good thoughts that you develop immunity to your mother's barbs. The
nightly walks with your DH sound lovely. Where in the world does your mother
live? I've forgotten.

Safe travels.

With TOM due it is hard to tell just how much journaling helped. There are
too many factors going on in my life right now to figure out why my weight
loss has stalled again. I know that I am stressing out over seeing mom again
that much is for sure. This past month has been very hectic between training
someone to cover part of my job this summer and getting ready to relocate
for the summer. The woman clearly has the "this is a temp job" attitude so
getting her to do the full job responsibly has been very difficult. She'll
be on her own come Tuesday as Monday is my last day at the office. She'll
have to deal with me via telephone and e-mail for the summer. Since I have
been training her for the past 3 week my own work has suffered. I end up
spending nights just trying to keep up with my half of the job.

Removing yourself from the heat and humidity will be a great relief, even
though in another sense you are going from the frying pan to the fire.

Mom splits her time between Florida (winters), Cape Cod (summer) and Maine
(fall/spring). Always on the water. What a life. I can only hope that I am
that lucky when I retire. My father was such a cheap b*stard when we were
growing up. It was because he was saving for their retirement.

Safe travels.

Thanks.

Good job, Laura. You will get to that 50 lbs loss soon, I 'm sure.
Especially with all the water aerobics in the next months!

Thanks Fred. I know I need to keep that in mind but it is so difficult these
days. And this week is going to be a real challenge.

Congrats. Your overall is terrific. You missed your goal by only a
small bit and there's always next week and challenge.
