Kimmiekins really ****ed off the Whoosh Fairy

When I saw ole Kimmykins in WWW a couple of months ago I wasn't
actively lowcarbing, but the bull**** barometer gave off a few
lowlevel beeps in my head. I was also kind of irritated. I knew this
chick probably got her information right off this board, read a couple
books and lowcarbed successfully like anyone does who really gives it
a try -- and she got this huge spread in the grocery rag AND you had
to pay HER to sign up to be in her posse?

I haven't really been paying attention, but I ran across her name in
some low carb blog today and caught up.

Damn, y'all sent that girl running. I kinda had a feeling you
would . Somebody hired a PI to find her and take photos of The Real
Kimkins and there is no question that girl has been hitting the ice
cream aisle. Remind me never to **** off the LC Community to that
point, k?

On the other hand, I read she made two million bucks on the internet,
which she apparently gets to keep. Tut. Sometimes I wish I had the
Cutthroat Gene instead of that darn Thrifty one.

Well, I'm sorry you're not well but at least you had something
amusing to read.

One thing about Kkins, she sure misjudged her market. LCers in general
have been ****ed around by false information so many times I'd say
we're probably some of the most jaded dieters on the planet.

So did she really lose any weight at all ever? Doesn't look like it
from what I saw. I *did* believe that part because I lost over 100
pounds myself doing Atkins and yes that was in a direct line all at
once from fat to thin. So I know it can be done, and I have seen some
killer successes march across this board from time to time.

I just couldn't believe someone would charge for something we all can
get every day a ton of places online for free. Lowcarb advice and
support? To me that's a scam already.

But to find out it was *all* bull****? That's just extraordinary.

LCF you say? Oh, man, don't tempt me...

Various posts she made over the course of a year on LCF, she said her
first name was Heidi, her middle named was Kim and her last name Diaz.
Her business partner who built the site had a contract with Heidi K. Diaz.

The private eye tracked down Heidi K Diaz, followed her for days, and
finally photographed her picking up mail from the post office box that
Kimkins checks went to.

So... yeah, pretty much the pictues here are her:

The picture she HAD on her web site as her "after" shot (the red dress
picture) and most of the testimonial before and after shots came from
Russian bride websites. The Russian bride profile existed years before
the Kimkins website, so it's unlikely the pictures were stolen the other

Yup. And that's a wig in those pics; the PI says she's bald.

Her ex-husband and her son's ex-girlfriend were both tracked down also.
They verify that's her.

A blogger who interviewed Kimmer when she was still anonymous called, he
later called Heidi's house and got her voice on tape; plus a local TV
reporter ambushed her and she said "no comment". The voices all match.

That is definetly her.
