PS I wasn't trying to tick you off in that other thread you know

if
I did.

No you didn't. Sorry if I gave you the impression you did. I
thought I attached the requisite number of smiley faces :-) I did
think you
were a bit harsh and playing loose with the facts in the tag-line
thread, but that one is probably better left burried.

1) I was referring to the post where I covertly showed I'd looked
for and found your real name.
2) "Playing loose with the facts" comes perilously close to calling
me a liar. I'm a lot of things, but a liar isn't one of them. You
should have left it buried "Steve".

Carmen (my *real* name)

Whoa there!! I'm not calling you a liar! I apologize if anyone else
took it that way.

To me "playing loose with the facts" is taking an ambiguous set of
facts and interpreting them "loosely" in the way which is most
favorable to the
argument you are supporting even though alternative interpretations
are more likely. Hell, I even do that some times :-) Both
interpretations are
consistent with the facts.

Lying is intentionally misstating and/or intentionally misrepresenting
the facts. I am certainly not aware of your ever lying nor is it
consistent with the persona you project in this newsgroup.

If this doesn't straighten it out, please let me know as you are one
of the people in this group whose posts I respect and value.

I guess I over reacted. I'm sorry about that. It's (lying) one of my
sore spots. I understand what you meant now, and appreciate the
clarification.

You have a good evening and take care,
Carmen

Hey, if you spent more time trying to get thin, and less time parsing
sentences, you would be much better off. It's an endearing term, but
endearing is probably not in your vocabulary.

you don't have the slightest idea how much i weigh, Rich. i've never
posted my stats here. as for parsing sentences, i'm an English major.
i parse sentences for fun and games.

i would kick in the shins any man who referred to me as his "wifey."
it's not endearing to me, not because "endearing" isn't in my vocabulary
but because i think it's insulting.

last time i checked, it was ok for people to have opinions. if you
don't like mine, you're welcome to disagree with it ... but i don't
recommend throwing childish personal attacks in along with your
disagreement. it doesn't really go very far towards making your
position look like one that's worthy of respect.

Do you mean as a topping or as a vehicle (as in tuna salad)?.

Well, I don't like it in tuna salad either.......but I guess I could use a
salad dressing here as well. Unless you have other suggestions.
