Default got through the weekend

Made it through the weekend using only 1 Flex Point, leaving me with 34 to
use throughout this week away from home. This morning when I weighed
myself, the scale held steady at Saturday's WI. That's the first Monday in a
very long time that didn't show an excessive UP, which I then had to work
all week to reverse.

Today, my travel day, wasn't too bad. I used 6.5 flex points, after
deducting 1 AP for walking briskly in 3 airports with all my carryon
luggage. At the restaurant tonight, I forgot to ask the waiter to box half
my dinner, but I behaved myself. I ate all the shrimp and vegetables, and
left considerably more than half the pasta on my plate. It feels good to be
exerting control once again over my appetites and impulses.

My mini-fridge and cupboard is stocked with breakfast for the week as well
as fresh fruit and microwave popcorn for snacks. So far so good on A) having
a plan and B) working it. With any luck, I won't be scared to step on the
scale when I get home in time for next Saturday's WI.

Wow! Great job staying OP on a travel day. That is a major feat.

What helped is that I started my day with a Burger King chicken garden salad
instead of a Whopper! Midday I bought a fresh fruit salad of cantaloupe,
honeydew, and grapes. Snacked on dried mangoes and crystallized ginger.
Dinner was my downfall. As it is, I probably didn't add enough points for
the sauce in the pasta. Thanks for the support.

That sounds like a great plan, Linda! Keep it up - you can do it! And, yes,
there's plenty of room for you down in the 130s - I'm not taking up much
space at all! VBG

Thanks Wendy. This week will be hard enough with work issues. Going home
feeling good about staying close to my daily target points while traveling
will more than compensate.

This trip, I took the shortcut through Chicago Midway. G My powerwalking
with heavy carryons occurred at MSP and PHL airports.

I've walked the Atlanta airport on other trips. The train's faster.

I've also walked under the city of Atlanta as in Underground Atlanta:

Sounds terrific. Oh, so you walked under the entire city of Atlanta?
I did that last Fall.

Now use that swimming pool

These days I'd say "one food item at a time" *grin*

The problem with this world is stupidity, now I'm not saying there should
be capital punishment for stupidity, but why don't we just take the
safety labels off everything and let the problem solve itself?
