Hi all, hope you are doing well and getting closer to your
goals every day! As for me, being pregnant has caused some major changes in my WOE the last week: morning sickness has set in, and it is much worse that the previous round (when I basically didn't have any). I am hardly able to eat anything, although what I do eat will stay inside, I just have no appetite. Hopefully this will get better in another 5-6 weeks. So in order to get any nutrients into me, I just eat whatever I feel like, trusting that my body will know what it needs, which isn't much to start with. And I need to have a very regular eating schedule: at least every two hours, or I *will* feel sick. At first I gained a few pounds, but I've lost them right away. It is good to know the baby is not at all affected, since my body is geared toward feeding the embryo first. In the mean time, I try to workout 3 times a week, doing more weights and fat-burn exercise, and less cardio, and I still swim at least once a week. The workouts still feel good. Amazingly, I fitted into a pair of old pants that I didn't fit since before I got pregnant with DS, but unfortunately, they are already becoming thighs around my belly... It was a nice success though... Take care! -- -- I mommy to DS (14m) guardian of DH EDD 05-17-2004 War doesn't decide who's right - only who's left |

Hi Illse - missed your posts over here.
Ya know - when I was pg w/ ds, I had mornign sickness really bad and I certainly couldn't stomach those horrid prenatal vits. WHat I did then was to make a protein shake that had a good vitamin source in it and I'd mix this up and drink it in the mornings. That was one thing that never made me sick and it gave my body protein and vitimins - the 2 things I was most concerned about. For me - I chose chocolate pprotein powder and milk - this didn't upset my stomach and actually I felt better. (thankfully, because the thought of hurling milk has never been appealing). Anyhow - it also help satisfy my chocolate cravings. The other favorite is fruit - as long as it was a low acid fruit. Those also went down easy and I always have found that fruity flavors are not bad on the uptake either. Fruits are indeed always fine, even though at this point my cravings vary on a daily basis. The prenatals are OK for me, especially if I have some juice first. I do try to stick to the healthy stuff mostly, and keep a rough balance of protein and carbs. One thing that seems to be OK persistently is bread, cheese, and milk. So that is now part of my standard menu. -- -- I mommy to DS (14m) guardian of DH EDD 05-17-2004 War doesn't decide who's right - only who's left |

Hope the morning sickness goes away soon. I was never bothered with it but
have seen my sister suffer with it...it was not a pretty site Glad to see you've been able to keep up the exercise. I always felt my exercise was a big help toward easy deliveries. My doctor did make me give the biking up for the last couple of months Keep us posted. Beverly "Ilse Witch" wrote in message ...
