Default Men's diet club

Hi

I have noticed that few men tend to use weigh****chers type clubs. My
suspicion is that they don't feel comfortable talking about weightloss
and body image in front of women - and also there are some issues and
facts that are peculiar to men that will tend to be overlooked in a
women biased club.

So - if you are male, would you use a weighloss club that was
exclusively male and if so, what would you expect it to be like or
provide that is different to, for example, weigh****chers?

There are many things that could be tailored for men. This is mostly
due to the fact that all systems are geared to women. For the same
reason you rob banks...it is where the money (at least historically).
I think you have struck on the number one issue however. It is a
support system that 1) we feel comfortable in sharing vulnerabilities,
2) has people to whom we can most easily relate, 3) provides role-
models, and 4) encourages comradery and friendly/supportive
competition. I am a believer in using human/male nature rather than
trying to change it. For many men supportive competition is an effect
tool in the fight against weight loss.

Do you know of any resources? I am based in Minnesota.

Well not really.
Weight Watchers online has its men section, and I am sure you could
find a meeting
with men or do it mostly online: http://tinyurl.com/2xxaa6

NutriSystem has meals etc for men:

And if you get into many workout plans, they offer advice geared to
men:
