Default Best Way to Break up Pre-Mixed Shakes?

Sometimes in order to save work, I like to use protein shake mixes.
But they clump up.

I have heard a few tips, such as putting an ice cube in the mix, using
really cold water, and so on, but I was wondering if anyone here had
any other ideas.

I know Braun makes an electric thing specifically for mixing thick
drinks.
