Up a lb?
1200 calories is approximately 24 points, but if you want to count calories
instead of points, try www.fitday.com it might work better for what you are looking for than the WW program which you are not liking. Also, since you are using the older system of a range of points instead of a set amount and bonus (weekly flex points), then you are about right with 26 points a day. Using the Flex way it would be 22 points a day, plus 35 points a say spread throughout the week or used in one day at your discretion or not used at all. I still think you are aiming for too low of a weight though for your age and height, but that is just my opinion. Debbie "Lá~ká~ Wáná" wrote in message . com... "Deb in Northern California" wrote in message ... Your signature shows you having a current weight of 162lbs. If that is the case, then 26 points is too much. According to the WW materials, at 162 you should be on 22 points a day, with the 35 weekly point allowance and then the exercise points you add. So maybe you are eating too much in order to lose. You are eating to maintain instead. My Success book says 20 to 27 pts a day. Since I do exercise the leader told me (when I was making meetings) to stay on the high side since I wasn't losing much weight - less than a lb a month. I think you're right. She should have told me to drop pts, not stay at the top. I was getting conflicting advice there. These points are annoying. I wish I could get a rough calorie number to eat per day. That would make it so much easier for me. Using the URL from another poster, I think, if I understood what he said - to reach 130 lbs it would be something like 1200c a day. How many points would THAT be? LW Start - 7/5/06 - 170lbs Today - 161 lbs Goal - 130lbs Height 5'6" ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ |

I'll check out fitday, thanks. :-) Most of the food I eat has the calories already listed and I plan to buy a small digital scale to weigh food next trip into town (if they have them here). A friend just returned two books this morning, "The Calorie Counter" and "The Supermarket Nutrition Counter" which also lists calories. They're going to be very helpful this time around. Also, since you are using the older system of a range of points instead of a set amount and bonus (weekly flex points), then you are about right with 26 points a day. I'll stick with 24 to 26 and see what happens. Using the Flex way it would be 22 points a day, plus 35 points a say spread throughout the week or used in one day at your discretion or not used at all. Those 35 pts would be a lot of extra calories. I still think you are aiming for too low of a weight though for your age and height, but that is just my opinion. Debbie Anything over 130 lbs and clothes don't look good on me, especially stretch jeans and stretch slacks which I prefer to wear. No matter how many sit-ups I do I'll have a "belly" at say 135, 140 lbs and over. In a bathing suit, dress or skirt I'll look pregnant. My belly is the last place I lose weight. :0( LW Start - 7/5/06 - 170lbs Today - 161 lbs Goal - 130lbs Height 5'6" ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ |
