Back from St. Louis - lost 6.2 lb during my 3 week trip - andpassed the 80 lb loss milestone!
Hi, people. Last night I got back to Tokyo from my 3 week trip to St. Louis
and am happy to report that my scale this morning showed me at 88.0 kg = 193.6 lb. That is down 2.8 kg = 6.2 lb for the little more than 3 weeks for my trip, which is better than my average weight loss lately. And I have yet another milestone to report. I've now lost more than 80 lb! 37 kg = 81.4 lb to be exact. So it was a very successful trip, diet-wise. I ate a lot of Subways, a lot of McDonald's Asian salads, went to Dennys once, Applebees a few times, Sweet Tomato a couple of times and also ate a lot of frozen low-calorie dinners. For snacks I did a lot of fat-free popcorn with zero calorie butter sprays on it, and tried practically every "100 calorie portion snack pack" in existence. And I also had lots of low-calorie yogurts. I love the 80 calorie "Lite 85" coconut cream one! I didn't eat anywhere I didn't know the calories, which eliminated 99% of restaurants. But there still seemed to be plenty of variety available if you look around. The only "countable exercise" I did these last 3 weeks were almost daily "power walks" around Lafayette Park. doug |

Great loss Doug. Walking is really good for weight loss. Changing what you
are used to doing is also good -- Lesanne "Doug Lerner" wrote in message ... Hi, people. Congrats on doing so well while traveling. I think that what you say here is more of a recent trend though. I remember when a "diet plate" at a restaurant consisted of a hamburger patty, full fat cottage cheese, and some kind of canned fruit packed in syrup. -- the volleyballchick |

I hope everything is going better now. I'm afraid I haven't been in good newsgroup contact during my trip, so I don't know if you posted anything about it. I ended up going to Sweet Tomato (the same as Souplantation) because of your recommendation and liked it a lot! doug |
