Well, I went even though I just wanted to stay in bed as I had a late night
last night. I'm glad I went. The meeting was about facing problems in life
as they interfere with your weight loss. I got a chance to vent some of the
stress and grief that I've carried for the past almost 4 months since my DHs
accident. I feel like I've turned a corner. Plus side was that I was down
0.4 when I thought I might have a small gain. I don't have my book in front
of me so I have to wait to update my stats. I'm back in the lower half of
the 180s. But that's OK I still managed to keep off 20 of the 25 pounds I
had lost. I won't get to goal by my anniversary in Sept like I wanted but I
still could do it by the end of the year. And my DH bought me a really cool
MP3 player to use while I workout when I'm on the exercise bike and not
doing a DVD (or maybe if I do Walk Away the Pounds as Leslie Sansone can get
on my nerves every once in a while). Thanks for listening.

Congrats on your loss - remember that a little loss is still a loss!
And if you ever get discouraged, go to the store and pick up a 20lb bag
of dog food and carry it around for a few minutes - that's what you
have lost already - bravo!
hugs,

Way to go Tanukiki!!!! good for you! you did the right thing! getting up and
going to your meeting was the best thing you could do for yourself! I'm so
happy that you had a 0.4 loss and that you vented a lot of your
frustration!!!! I'm also glad that the topic for discussion was bang on to
your needs! This is what WW is all about ........You didn't mention it,
but I also hope you saw some friendly faces that would have otherwise missed
you if you were absent?

I have a great group and many of us are becoming really good friends and we
all look forward to seeing each other every week.

Hey, you'll love the MP3 player!...........get yourself a good pair of
headphones and you will love using it for working out!!!!!

Hope you have a great week

Thanks L. I do try to keep it in perspective. Before I joined WW, I had
already lost about 34 pounds on my own so I'm still about 55 pounds down
from my heaviest.

Thanks Eddie! :-) One person at my meeting is a coworker of mine whom I also
consider to be a friend and it's great to have a support person at work and
someone I can try to support also. Yea, the headphones that came with it
aren't the best. I also like it because it shows pictures and plays some
video (although not a dedicated IPOD video player which was twice as much as
this was). I think it'll be a good week. We're off to the church picnic in a
bit so I have to munch a lot of veggies and choose wisely :-)

Sounds like you're making progress (remember: progress not perfection).
I've been using an MP3 player for years now in one form or another - now I
have an iPod. It's a great way to keep up the motivation during a workout.

Thanks vbchick. I do tend to a bit of a perfectionist :-/. Mine is a Sandisk
Sansa. It's about as wide as a Nano but a bit deeper - plus the case looks
sturdier and less prone to scratches. So far I'm having fun just figuring
out how to load music, pics, and videos. I have to remember to take time to
exercise though :-0
