Be sure you don't drink MORE than your body needs or you can deplete and
disrupt your electrolyte balance. That can be dangerous I was told.

Sure, if you're drinking 14 liters a day, then worry. Hyponatremia is rare
and mainly found with endurance athletes who aren't training properly, as in
taking in salt to balance the water. Anything else is mainly hyperbole.

Smaller meals more frequently works for me though not for my DH. If you're
really hungry you do need to eat so plan a number of different 1-2 point
snacks that are high fiber and maybe even a little protein - a slice of
turkey on a wasa cracker or something to that effect.

Sounds like your not eating enough at a meal...90 calories for lunch is very
low...Do you eat many small meals each day?...GG

I wasn't hungry the first 2 weeks either. I'm hungry now but still had to
cut points as I was stuck for 8 days at the same weight (maintaining).
Being hungry most of the time and not losing can be very discouraging. I
had to drop my points even lower to lose anything. That worked as I was
down a pound this morning. Now I'm *really* starving. (

Lunch today will be 1/2 cup fat-free cottage cheese (80c) and 1 Tbs. of
sugar free Blackberry preserves (10c) = about 1 pt. I'll be hungry again
about 20 minutes later.

Thanks everyone for suggestions. I know I am not getting enough water
and probably not enough protein. Will try to increase both! I used to
use nuts to up my protein intake but my son (2.5) is allergic so I
can't have them in the hosue now. I need to cook a turkey...

-L..........(I wish I had a name to call you by).......if you are feeling
hungry, then maybe you might not be drinking enough water........try that
first and see what happens.....
You say that you are only eating 1 or 2 extra weekly points per day? Well
that tells me right away that you are not eating all of your points! You
should eat them! ALL OF THEM.........if want, divide the 35 flex points into
7 days and use 5 per day, not just 1 or 2.
Lastly, if all else fails, just go ahead and eat a little extra, but do 2
things......1)make a truly healthy choice, like fruit or something and 2)
make sure that you track those points so that you know what your actual
count is......
It will give you a gauge to know that you actually can go over your points a
bit, but still lose weight.......and it will relieve a bit of your stress
when you are having a hungry week like right now.............we all
them.........you're not alone.

Good luck.........

You'd have to drink a hell of a lot of water to get to that point! Sorry,
but I don't agree with you.
Drink water and drink lots of it !

Default Starting week 3 and I am hungry!

LW,

I am very happy for you that you lost a pound, but I need to be totally
honest with you and offer you my opinions. I hope you won't be offended by
them because I am truly trying to be helpful with these comments.

I really think you need to stop, reread all of your postings and then give
yourself a fresh new start with a different attitude.

You seem to be obsessed with exercise as the be all and end all of the
world? I may be wrong, but I shake my head every time I read some of your
posts.

The second thing I notice is that you seem to be really stressing about
losing weight and cutting back on your points. It almost seems to me that
you aren't even going to WW meetings and that you are trying this on your
own without any support what so ever? If I'm wrong, then I suggest that you
try talking to your leader. I'm quite positive that no WW leader would ever
tell you to reduce your points or exercise more!

If you are eat ALL of your points (including your 35 weekly FLEX points)
and you ensure that you track (write down) every single thing that goes into
your mouth, and you are weighing your portions, then there is no doubt in my
mind that you will lose weight! no doubt what so ever!

The fact that you've stalled for a couple of week and that you are starving
right now and considering lowering your points again, really makes me
concerned for your well-being.

I really hope that you are not obsessing by standing on the scale every day?
This will drive you crazy! you need to put your scale away, stick to your
program, stick to the 8 healthy guidelines, track your food intake, drink
lots of water, exercise if you want to, enjoy life and then step on the
scale in a week and I'm sure you'll feel better and lose maybe a pound or 2.

That's another thing...........please don't expect miracles at the scale! 1
to 2 lbs per week is a great average loss and as you become closer to goal
with only maybe 20 lbs to lose, it will get harder and harder and you may
only see 1/2 lbs to 1 pound losses each week...........heck there will even
be weeks where you will stay the same!!

I wish you all the luck in the world. I think you are a nice person, but
you just need to relax a bit and stop stressing yourself out over all of
this.

Sincerest and warmest regards,

Eddie

But what is "a lot of water?" What may be a lot for one person may not be a
lot for another person with a different lifestyle, activity level, climate,
whatever. I couldn't find any research that drinking more than your body
needs does you any good. I drink when I'm thirsty as my NP told me to do.
