Default Food & Exercise -- 12/26/2004

Another day in North Carolina with my mom. We head home tomorrow
morning. Today we awoke to rather nasty weather -- sleet/snow
combination -- and I had a dead battery in the car thanks to leaving
the lights on. (I just bought my mom's car. My previous one had
lights that turned off automatically when you removed the key from the
ignition, so I have bad habits!) After dealing with all this mess, I
ran some errands for mom, had lunch at her place, took her out later
after the weather cleared some for some lingerie shopping, then went
back to her place and we all went to the casual Sunday night buffet at
her retirement home. Not too many calories today, but way too many
sweets. And no exercise -- car hassles ate up time and I didn't get to
the exercise room as I'd hoped to. Anyway:

Food:

* 8:00 (hotel breakfast buffet): 2 scrambled eggs; 4 oz. orange juice
* 11:45 (Mom's apartment): 1 cup chicken vegetable soup; a couple of
handsful of peanut brittle
* 3:30 (Mom's apartment): 1 oz. summer sausage; 1 bite-sized chocolate
* 6:00 (dinner buffet): 1/2 cup salad greens and tomato chunks with a
teaspoon of ranch dressing; 1 oz. each green beans and redskin potato;
6 fried oysters with cocktail sauce; small portions of several desserts
(chocolate cake, raspberry tart, mousse cake, fruit cobbler) --roughly
the equivalent of two whole desserts

Totals: 1532 calories, 75g fat (44%), 165g carbs (43%), 50g protein
(13%) -- WAY below my desired protein level!

Exercise: Just messing around with dead cars and shopping. (But I did
buy some nice Ralph Lauren pants in a size 4 :-) .)
