Default Carb Solutions High Protien Bars

Has anyone else eaten these? I just tried the peanut butter, something or
the other today, and I gotta say they are NASTY!!!!!!!!! At first I was
like, oh, its just an after taste that you get from some of these things,
but then I realized it was just bad!!! It almost tastes like it has alcohol
poured on it or something, and I don't like the tatse of alcohol! So,
hopefully you haven't tried these yet and by reading this I've saved your
some misery and money!

I bought one recently for the first itme in a long time (I was out in
the world and needed something portable to eat later) and it wasn't
bad. They're actually better than they used to be. I don't recall what
flavor, but I thought it was the peanut butter.

I'd never make a habit of them, but I didn't think it was too bad. But
then I've eaten some pretrty sucky protein bars -- that's one reason I
stopped buying them about a year ago.

Carb Solutions protein bars are awful. Their chocolate candy bars are
pretty good, although I prefer DeLite Dark.

Their ready-to-drink shakes used to be pretty good, when they came in
bottles (especially with some water mixed in, as they were quite thick
and sweet). They recently reformulated to low-fat low-carb, and their
new shakes in a can taste like flavored chalk-water. They went right
in the trash.

I suspect they misinterpreted low sales to the fat content in the
shakes, when it was really that they were just too overpriced for an
unknown brand. I started buying them up when they went on clearance at
WalMart and the supermarket, and liked them a lot. The new ones are
just putrid.

Of all the brands, Carb Solutions are my least favorite. Atkins Advantage
bars are pretty good. EAS Advant-Edge bars are ok too.

Don't even try the Lemon ones... I have a garbage gut and can eat about
anything, but I sure couldn't eat the lemon Carb Solution bar! The chocolate
peanut one bordered on nasty, but with enough water and hunger it did go
down!

I use these bars as my lunch time meal. I like the taste (especially since
they improved the taste). I am a type 2 diabetic & it doesn't elevate my
blood sugar. I have been following LC for about a month now & have lost
almost 15 lbs. I love all of the helpful hints & tips I am finding here.

They taste like CHIT!!! It reminds me of the smell of yellow multi
vitamin suppliment we used to add to peoples IV's in the hospital. OH
ICK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The smell of them turns my stomach and I had a
burning sensation in my mouth when i took the one bite I took

I'm quite fond of them, actually. Most of the better protein bars (as
opposed to candy) have a similar taste, IMO. However, they don't have
the hideous sugar alcohol side effects that the candies have (on me,
and many others), and they're extremely filling. Anything like that
that helps me keep losing while satisfying my sweet tooth is okay in
my book. Have been on Atkins for a little over 4 months now and am
down approx. 75 lbs., so I can't complain.

At just over $7 for a box of 6 at the local Target (with additonal
coupons inside, to boot), they're also a bargain (most stores sell
them for $2.50-$2.99 individually around here).

To each his/her own.

I think they all do.
The smores bar is my favorite. The others are bearable and filling, but that
one I like.
